The problem with your resume is that it is an extremely subjective document. And the thing about resumes is that everyone has an opinion and a personal style or format that they like and, of course, everyone thinks that they are right.


The truth about resumes, from a recruiter’s perspective, is that about 30 - 40% are OK ... meaning that they could use some work but they are basically OK for the lack of anything else.  About 10% are good and another 10% are very good.  The remaining 40 - 50% range from bad to very bad to simply dreadful. 


And, the resume is just one part of the job search process.  How it is presented, to whom it is presented, in what form it is presented, and many, many other factors can move the “candidate evaluation” up or down the good to bad curve.
