CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER – NON PROFIT


Accountability


The CFO is a member of the senior management team and reports to the President.  He/She will monitor and manage the financial performance of a Chicago based non-profit in accordance with the strategies and policies of the Board of Trustees, President, and Senior Management.


The CFO must build, operate, and maintain a financial information system that can deliver timely, accurate and relevant financial information.  The CFO must also support an organizational-wide culture that brings financial literacy to all departments and the administration.


Responsibilities


Responsible for all areas of accounting including budget preparation and control, income management: including billing and collection, and accounts payable


Responsible for all areas of financial strategy planning; business analysis; risk management and insurance for the physical plant and all staff and guests using the property; investment management, capital budgeting and capital expenditure control; analyzing and interpreting financial data for the senior management and advising senior management on the financial implications of proposed and current expenditures


Preparation of monthly statements (including cash flow) and other financial reports for the Board Finance Committee, President and Senior Management


Track disbursements of contributions of benefactors, including scholarships and financial aid


Responsible for ensuring that the financial monitoring system includes an early-warning system to alert senior management to cost overruns


Responsible for cash management and making recommendations for cost-savings procedures; debt management and compliance; ensure compliance with relevant state and federal regulations and good accounting and financial management practice


Act as a liaison for the Board Finance Committee, setting dates, maintaining notes, and organizing meetings to ensure the committee covers the duties set forth in their charter 


Develop, maintain and update annually a manual of policies and procedures for financial operations


Coordinate the annual audit.  The audit will be in a timely manner to allow the Board and senior management ample time to correct any items in the management letter


Prepare the following financial reports: grants, payroll taxes, property taxes, and any other reports as needed to all federal, state, and local agencies as required


Responsible for maintenance of building. Coordinate building, grounds and new construction work. Plan and implement routine maintenance projects as well as long term capital improvements with the Building and Grounds Committee of the Board of Trustees


Oversees Human Resources functions including all issues involving payroll, salary system, HR policy, benefits


Act as an internal auditor to ensure accurate reporting of gifts and pledges. Supervise the reporting of all gifts and balance the two departments in an effort to have accurate and conservative audits


Requirements:


CPA or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related fields.

5-7 years of applicable accounting experience in the areas of budget development, financial management, long range financial planning and human resources. Working knowledge of current financial and accounting computer applications.  Excellent verbal, analytical, organizational and written skills

3-5 years of experience in staff management/supervision

Experience in a not-for-profit organizations highly preferred

Ability to understand and speak French a plus

Inside Sales Account Executive – Chicago Loop


As an Inside Sales Account Executive, you will work with the North America Sales Team.  You will work cooperatively with the enterprise outside sales team and other members of product and marketing teams to grow existing customers, identify new customers and meet and exceed monthly sales quotas at the appropriate gross margin while increasing customer satisfaction.

 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Generate new and repeat sales by providing product, technical information in a timely manner

·       Identify customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend relevant products/solutions

·       Proactively recommend products needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve profitability

·       Increase sales by means of cross-selling, up-selling, and add-on sales

·       Contact customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction

·       Remain current on consumer preferences, by attending applicable internal meetings, trade shows, and reading trade journals

·       Setup and maintain customer history and records

·       Present a professional image at all times

·       Perform other duties as assigned

 

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS PREFERRED:

 

·       3-5 years experience in inside sales for a B2B software company

·       Experience in EHS and/or RISK software sales is preferred

·       Extraordinary cold calling experience

·       Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed revenue targets 

·       Self-motivated team player with strong inter-personal skills

·       Excellent  listening,  and communication (verbal and written) skills

·       Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards

·       Technical expertise and ability to acquire knowledge of new company products/solutions

·       Comfortable meeting deadlines in a multi tasking/fast-paced environment

·       Demonstrated understanding and application of effective selling strategies and techniques

·       Great organizational skills

·       Knowledge of Microsoft XP

·       Four year college degree preferred


Compensation range: Base + Commission
